Born in New York city into a theatrical family, David has spent his lifetime in the theatre as an actor, director,and teacher, working in theatres across the country.

"The appeal of being a theatre artist for me has always been to make a difference in people's lives . To effect the world in a positive way with my art. The artist points up the highs and lows of life; its beauty, tragedy, joy, and frustration. Our duty is to the greater audience and humanity - to inspire people to view their own lives and the world around them with a new and more insightful perspective.

There is a resiliency and courage to the human spirit. The theatre is the best tool I know of to keep it alive."

David is currently the Artistic Director for the North Coast Repertory Theatre, and formerly the Artisitic Director of the Arizona Jewish Theatre Company and the Los Angeles Repertory Company.

He lives in Carlsbad with his wife, two sons, and their cats.
